Palumbo Carmine

Palumbo Carmine grows Patata del Fucino IGP on the storied plain of Celano, where an ancient lakebed now yields some of Italy's most prized potatoes. The volcanic soil and altitude of the Fucino plateau shape tubers with firm, dense flesh and skin that holds through harvest and storage. This producer is part of a nine-municipality consortium stewarding a crop tied to one of Abruzzo's most dramatic transformations—from water to arable land.
