Papelli traces its roots to 1890s Avola, when Paolo Giunta built the family's first mill in the Monti Iblei foothills. Five generations later, the estate operates from the same sun-baked Sicilian terrain, where olives destined for Monti Iblei DOP oil mature under Mediterranean heat. Visitors witness the arc from grove to bottle, observing how each stage—harvest, pressing, handling—shapes the oil's signature medium-to-intense fruitiness and green tomato notes. The mill remains the beating heart of this agricultural lineage.
