Pian di bugnano

In the volcanic soils of Montecucco, Pian di bugnano crafts Sangiovese that captures the interplay of elevation and climate. Vines planted between 500 and 550 metres face Monte Amiata's shelter on one side and Tyrrhenian breezes on the other—a counterpoint that yields an unusual freshness in southern Tuscany. The resulting wine carries mineral grip and red fruit clarity, aged 17 months to develop structure without masking the terroir's defining salinity.
