Piemaggio

At Piemaggio in Castellina in Chianti, twelve hectares of south-facing vines climb the undulating slopes between 380 and 420 metres elevation. All trained in guyot, the vineyard's varied exposures and steep gradients shape the character of pure Sangiovese. The cantina, renovated in 2014 with temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, channels the terroir's mineral complexity into wines that embody the authentic voice of Chianti Classico—balanced, demanding, true to their place.
