Pinino

Montalcino · Province of Siena · Toscana

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

Pinino farms 16 hectares of vines across two distinct Montalcino terroirs. The historic vineyard north of the estate, near the prized Montosoli zone, sits on south-east-facing slopes of galestro and alberese—mineral-rich soils that yield structured Brunello with keen acidity and dark fruit intensity. Since 2000, younger plantings at Canchi combine denser skeleton soils with sandier parcels, where a mild continental microclimate coaxes slow, even ripening of Sangiovese Grosso. Both sites produce wines of elegant frame and aromatic freshness.
