Podere Il Palazzino

Podere Il Palazzino occupies twenty hectares in Monti, south of Gaiole in Chianti, where Sangiovese vines share the land with olive groves. The estate traces its roots to a farmstead restored during the 18th-century agrarian reforms of Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo. The Sderci family acquired the property in the mid-1800s and maintains artisanal methods—manual labour, minimal chemical intervention, and farming that respects natural plant equilibrium. This small-scale approach yields Chianti Classico reds of distinctive character.
