Podere La Madia

Podere La Madia spans 10 hectares across Val d'Arno di Sopra, with 3 hectares of vine terraces and 7 of olives climbing the Pratomagno foothills near Loro Ciuffenna. The estate produces DOC wines from Merlot, Sangiovese, and Cabernet varieties alongside olive oil. Certified organic since founding, the producer eschews all animal-derived fertilisers, instead rotating legume cover crops—fava beans and lupins—across different vineyard blocks each vintage to maintain soil fertility and autonomy.
