Podere Sapaio emerged in 1999 on bare land in Castagneto Carducci, where Maestral winds carry maritime influence across the Costa degli Etruschi. The estate interprets Bolgheri's terroir through two benchmark wines—the versatile Sapaio and Volpolo—crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Both reds undergo 24 months' minimum aging, reflecting the producer's philosophy of listening to the territory before drawing its essence to the surface.
