Pratesi produces Carmignano DOCG, a red wine anchored to two municipalities in Tuscany and defined by strict requirements: a minimum of 20 months' aging and an alcohol threshold of 12.5%. The house works with Sangiovese as its backbone, complemented by Canaiolo nero and Cabernet Franc or Cabernet Sauvignon. This blend structure, mandated by denomination rules, gives Pratesi wines their distinctive profile within the appellation's compact, historic zone.
