Ripanera
San Casciano in Val di Pesa · Province of Firenze · Toscana
Chianti Classico DOCG
Ripanera emerged in 1964 on the slopes of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, where Valerio Barbieri and his daughter Elisabetta (trained under renowned enologist Giacomo Tachis) cultivate 15 hectares of vineyard in Chianti Classico's heartland. Sangiovese dominates their plantings, complemented by Merlot and Petit Verdot. Across six decades, the estate has woven bioagronomic innovation into Tuscan viticultural tradition, producing some 800 quintals of wine annually for markets from Japan to Switzerland, while maintaining the scale and independence that define their vision.
