Gattinara DOCGGhemme DOCG

Roccia Rossa operates from Brusnengo in Biella's Alpine foothills, where Piedmont's northernmost vineyards face demanding mountain conditions. The producer crafts Gattinara DOCG and Ghemme DOCG, both anchored by Nebbiolo, locally called Spanna. These wines demand patience: Gattinara requires 35 months' aging and reaches 12.5% alcohol, while Ghemme ages 34 months at 12%. The addition of Vespolina and Uva Rara brings texture and refinement, producing lean, mineral reds from one of Italy's most rigorous terroirs.
