Savina Lorenzo cultivates Patata del Fucino IGP on the reclaimed plateau of L'Aquila, where volcanic and alluvial soils create conditions for potatoes of exceptional firmness and regular form. The producer works within a nine-municipality protected zone, where the drained bed of the former lake supplies minerals that distinguish these tubers—harvested with skin intact, never separating—from ordinary varieties.
