Dario Scorrano presses olives from the hillsides surrounding Pianella, in Pescara's inland valleys, where Aprutino Pescarese DOP oil emerges with distinctive green-to-gold hues. The extra virgin carries herbaceous notes and measured fruitiness—a signature of the forty-six municipalities that define this protected zone. Each harvest captures the terroir of Abruzzo's Adriatic foothills, where limestone soils and altitude shape the polyphenol profile that distinguishes Aprutino oils on the palate.
