This protected denomination spans nine municipalities across L'Aquila province, where volcanic soil and altitude create conditions for potatoes of exceptional firmness and regularity. The producer works land reclaimed from the Fucino basin, where firm flesh and skin integrity are the hallmark of every harvest—qualities that define the IGP standard and mark generations of cultivation on this singular terrain.
