Tenute Vercellino

Tenute Vercellino commands the granite slopes of Valdengo in Biella, where Nebbiolo—known locally as Spanna—achieves mineral intensity under cool Piedmont skies. The estate crafts two cornerstone reds: Gattinara DOCG, aged 35 months to unlock layered complexity from Nebbiolo, Vespolina and Uva Rara; and Ghemme DOCG, a 34-month expression drawing from the neighbouring zone's volcanic terroir. Each vintage embodies the discipline of these historic denominations: minimum 12.5% alcohol for Gattinara, structured tannins that demand patience and reveal themselves in the glass.
