Torcilacqua

Matteo Mariotti acquired Torcilacqua in 2018, transforming a long-held ambition into reality. The estate occupies a unified slope in Badia a Passignano, within Chianti Classico's heartland, facing the historic abbey at 350 metres elevation. South-southwest exposure, the zone's distinctive microclimate, and balanced soil composition converge to yield grapes of exceptional character. From Sangiovese and complementary red varieties, Torcilacqua produces Chianti Classico rosso that captures the terroir's precise conditions.
