VECCHIA CANTINA SOCIALE DI ALICE BEL COLLE E SESSAME D'ASTI S.C.A.

Founded in 1956, Vecchia Cantina Sociale di Alice Bel Colle e Sessame d'Asti represents Alto Monferrato's largest cooperative venture, uniting approximately 200 members across 1,150 hectares of vineyard. Located six kilometers from Acqui Terme, the winery produces three DOCG denominations: Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, Terre Alfieri, and Barbera d'Asti. The cooperative's production scope—harvesting roughly 10,000 tonnes annually—demonstrates its central role in valorizing and commercializing regional wines. Drawing on local Moscato, Brachetto, Barbera, and other indigenous varietals, the winery exemplifies collective viticulture rooted in Piedmont tradition.
