Vergnano Giovanni at Cascina Gilli commands 11 hectares in Castelnuovo Don Bosco, where clay-rich slopes yield Freisa, Nebbiolo, Barbera, and other Monferrato varietals. Founded in 1983, the estate has evolved under Paolo Vergnano's leadership alongside new partners Davide Gasperini and Federico Mussetto, who bring fresh expertise while preserving the eighteenth-century cascina as a meeting point for local heritage. Their three DOCG wines—Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, Terre Alfieri, and Barbera d'Asti—reflect territory-driven winemaking across the region's distinctive terroirs.
