Zauri Nino cultivates Patata del Fucino IGP in Pescina, L'Aquila, on the reclaimed floor of what was once a Fucino lakebed. The Abruzzo soil that emerged from this geological transformation produces potatoes of exceptional firmness and regularity—tubers with intact skin and dense flesh that distinguish them across Italy's protected origins. Working within the nine-municipality zone, the producer harnesses the specific terroir of the drained plain to deliver potatoes suited to both refined cooking and everyday kitchens.
