Agrilu
Colico · Province of Lecco · Lombardia
From Colico, where the terraces of Valtellina overlook the northern waters of Lake Como, Agrilu focuses its work on two guaranteed denomination expressions of mountain Nebbiolo. The Sforzato di Valtellina is born from the partial drying of the grapes, which concentrates the intensity of the vitigno, and rests for at least twenty months; the Valtellina Superiore, a more structured red, requires twenty-four months of patient aging. These are two interpretations of the same alpine land, one built on concentration, the other on structure, both linked to the dry stone walls that define these slopes. But the company's work is not limited to the vineyard: agricultural commitment intertwines with the safeguarding of the Pian di Spagna Natural Reserve, in an endeavor that unites wine production, environmental protection, and knowledge of the supply chain. It is a way of understanding wine as part of a broader balance, where the stewardship of the territory is as important as the bottle, and the mountain remains as central as the Nebbiolo that ripens there.
