🏡 Tastings & visitsSforzato di Valtellina DOCGValtellina Superiore DOCG

In Chiuro, amidst the terraced vineyards of Valtellina in the province of Sondrio, Aldo Rainoldi embodies three generations of expertise. From transitioning to bottling in the 1950s to expanding into the United States, Japan, and Northern Europe, the company has built its credibility on rigorous quality choices; today's heir, trained in viticulture and enology, combines family heritage with environmental awareness. Two denominations define its profile, both DOCG and offspring of Nebbiolo, here called Chiavennasca. The Valtellina Superiore ages for at least 24 months and spans twelve municipalities, while the Sforzato di Valtellina requires a minimum of twenty months of aging from an area of six municipalities: two expressions of the same mountain grape variety, one taut and vertical, the other concentrated and powerful. The winery welcomes guests for visits and tastings, a tangible opportunity to discern in the glass the effort and light of these terraced slopes.
