Asolo Prosecco DOCGMontello Rosso DOCG

From Montebelluna, the Altea winery works with the two denominations that overlap in the eighteen municipalities of the area: Asolo Prosecco and Montello Rosso. The sparkling wines cover the three permitted styles—still white, frizzante, spumante—crafted from five allowed varieties with Glera in the foreground; the reds, on the other hand, are born from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and other suitable Trevigiano grape varieties, requiring at least eighteen months of aging before release. These two fronts create a catalog that combines lightness and structure, the aromatic freshness of Glera and the more austere texture of Bordeaux blends. Connecting them is the choice of certified organic cultivation, which guides vineyard work towards an expression without artificial corrections. Altea thus interprets two contiguous but opposite denominations as parts of a single territorial narrative, where the Asolo hills offer both the vivacity of sparkling wines and the depth of age-worthy reds.
