Anzivino

Established in 1998, Anzivino pursues a single goal: to give voice to the Nebbiolo of Gattinara's volcanic hills. Emanuele Anzivino and his son Andrea work six hectares together, harvest entirely by hand, and produce between 20,000 and 25,000 bottles annually. It's a deliberately contained scale, where every decision remains in the family's hands, and nothing is delegated. The two DOCG reds, from Gattinara and nearby Ghemme, demand patience before revealing themselves: a minimum of thirty-five and thirty-four months respectively in barrel, a period that smooths tannins and concentrates the ferrous character of the soils. These are parallel expressions of the same grape variety on volcanic soils, interpreted with precision and without shortcuts. Visitors to the winery taste directly with the producers, following the thread that connects the vineyard to the glass and appreciating, vintage after vintage, the choices that hold this family project together.
