Arditi Luigi

In Rosignano Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria, Luigi Arditi works within the confines of a single denomination, the Barbera del Monferrato Superiore, whose regulations encompass over two hundred Piedmontese municipalities. Barbera remains the cornerstone of his work, flanked by the grape varieties that define the identity of Monferrato: Freisa, Grignolino, and Dolcetto, indigenous varieties that accompany the emblematic wine without overshadowing it. The rigor of the DOCG is measured in precise numbers: at least fourteen months of aging and an alcohol content of no less than thirteen degrees, thresholds that guide the style towards structure and longevity.
