Ascopiemonte s.c.

Founded in 1997, Ascopiemonte unites 536 hazelnut producers in the Cuneo hills, cultivating over 3,500 hectares of Tonda Gentile Trilobata. The cooperative controls more than a third of Piedmont's hazelnut supply, backed by three decades of work and patient selection in the territory. This scale allows it to speak on behalf of an entire sector without losing the connection to the individual hazelnut grove. The fruit has the trilobate shape that facilitates shelling and defines the Nocciola del Piemonte IGP: a marked and persistent aroma, consistent yield in processing and taste. Behind the denomination lies a landscape of rows that shape the hills and a knowledge passed down among members. Here, the hazelnut is not an accessory ingredient but the center of an agricultural economy, measured in hectares and generations of growers who have made it the hallmark of the Cuneo area.
