On the Ionian Calabrian coast, between Melissa and Cirò, Cavalier Garrubba Giuseppe's winery operates in a territory where the Gaglioppo grape reigns supreme in red wine production, and the warm Mediterranean climate sculpts its profile. The two denominations to which it adheres share the same leading grape variety and rigorous protocols: the reds must reach 12% alcohol and often gain greater breadth through the superiore and riserva categories, aging for a long time before reaching the glass.
