Recioto di Gambellara DOCG

Forty hectares overlooking the volcanic ridge of Gambellara, where hexagonal basalt columns punctuate the Vicenza countryside: this is the geological backdrop against which Montecrocetta cultivates indigenous Garganega and international grape varieties. The pinnacle of the denomination is Recioto di Gambellara DOCG, a passito wine that concentrates the minerality of the mineral-rich soils in its dried grapes, translating the drama of the rock into measured sweetness. Around this peak revolves a production of structured white wines and classic method sparkling wines, a sign of a winery that interprets Garganega in multiple registers. For over twenty years, the family-run business has worked in harmony with the natural rhythms of the vineyard, a choice that has earned it a stable presence in the national market and a discerning following abroad. Character here is not built in the cellar but gathered in the vineyard: the volcanic soil is both a constraint and a signature, and in Recioto, it finds its most recognizable expression, where the dried fruit retains the acidic drive that balances the sugar.
