Az. Vitivinicola Zonin Roberto

In Gambellara, Roberto Zonin cultivates Garganega where the Venetian continental influence brings the grape to the peak of ripeness. His winery is dedicated to a single denomination, Recioto di Gambellara DOCG, which nonetheless holds a dual nature: on one side, a dense, honeyed *passito* (dessert wine), and on the other, a delicate sparkling wine, both capable of exceeding 14% alcohol. The denomination extends over just four municipalities, and in this compact area, the work focuses entirely on extracting the mineral backbone and complexity that arises from the *appassimento* (grape drying) of the fruit. There is no dispersion: a single origin, a single grape variety, two faces of the same wine. It is a choice that prioritizes depth over variety, pushing Garganega towards its most concentrated outcomes. From a restricted area, Zonin thus obtains a wine that plays on the contrast between sweetness and tension, between the dried fruit matter and the mineral freshness that keeps the whole in balance, glass after glass.
