Azienda Agricola Paone Gregorio

On the hills of Maida, in the Catanzaro area, Gregorio and Vincenzo Paone manage eighteen hectares where 4,500 olive trees grow, some over a century old. From these trees comes a single extra virgin olive oil, Lametia DOP, which bears the name of the Calabrian plain and its nine municipalities. The division of tasks is clear: the father oversees cultivation and communication with the oil mill, while the son manages logistics and bottling, in a cycle that remains entirely within the family. The choice of organic methods is not an addition but the framework for every harvest. The declared objective is an oil that strictly adheres to the indication's profile: acidity contained within 0.5 percent, a measured and delicate fruitiness, and the straw-green-yellow hue that signals its belonging to this corner of Calabria. The result is a product that does not seek effect, but rather fidelity to a territory and a single denomination.
