Baron Longo

Three South Tyrolean denominations define the perimeter of Baron Longo, each with its own distinct character. Lago di Caldaro DOC revolves around Schiava and its three local clones—*grossa*, *gentile*, *grigia*—from which reds ranging from classic to superior are born. Alto Adige DOC broadens the spectrum to include whites, from Chardonnay to Pinot Grigio and aromatic varieties, and characterful reds like Lagrein and Pinot Nero. The IGT Mitterberg, extending across one hundred and sixteen municipalities, completes the picture with agile whites and more pronounced reds. The result is a layered portfolio, where the same hand tackles different registers: the finesse of Schiava, the versatility of mountain whites, the structure of the reds.
