In San Pietro in Cariano, on the hills that open up the Bardolino Superiore area, Bolla works with a single denomination that nonetheless tells much about the Veronese side of the region. Bardolino Superiore DOCG is born here from the classic blend of Corvina veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella, a red that demands time: at least twelve months of aging and an alcohol content no lower than 12%. It is a wine of measure rather than power, built on the balance of the blend rather than the exuberance of a single grape variety. The territory that produces it encompasses sixteen municipalities, and the winery interprets this mosaic as a matter of dosage, refining the blend until the Veronese character emerges clearly. The practice of blending, handed down from generation to generation, remains the house signature.
