Brigatti Francesco

In Suno, in the upper Novarese area, Francesco Brigatti cultivates an idea born in the early 20th century, when his grandfather Alessandro identified south-facing hills and clay soils suitable for Nebbiolo. Across three distinct vineyards—MötZiflon, Mötfrei, and Campazzi—the estate produces two guaranteed denomination reds, Gattinara DOCG and Ghemme DOCG, both expressions of northern Piedmont's Nebbiolo. These two DOCG wines are geographically close and share the same grape, yet differ in soil and character. The choice to work with both speaks to a long-term viticulture, rooted in terroir rather than fleeting trends. In the vineyard, the estate practices integrated pest management, respecting both the vines and the surrounding landscape.
