Canella

In Cavaion Veronese, within the Bardolino Superiore DOCG area that embraces sixteen municipalities around Lake Garda, Canella works with the classic Veronese trio: Corvina veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella. It is the encounter between lake and hill that gives these grapes the balanced maturation required by the denomination, with a minimum alcohol content of twelve degrees and a profile balanced between fruit and finesse. The winery focuses on its sole denomination, aging its reds for at least twelve months. It is during this time that Bardolino Superiore gains the structure and depth that distinguish it from the more immediate versions of the area, without sacrificing the aromatic recognizability of its grapes. The resulting wine is a Garda interpretation of a grape variety, measured by the parameters of the DOCG rather than a fashionable taste: a red that asserts its specific area instead of chasing a transversal style.
