CANTINA CAPARRA SALVATORE

In Cirò Marina, on the Crotone coast, Cantina Caparra Salvatore manages the Cirò denomination from vineyards where the family's roots run deep. The productive heart is Gaglioppo, vinified in standard rosso, superiore, and riserva versions, respecting the minimum alcohol content of 12°, while an internal laboratory complements the founders' craft with analytical tools. The result is a red wine that asserts the robust and territorial character of this Calabrian strip. The second denomination, the Melissa DOC, expands the repertoire towards native Calabrian grape varieties, expressed in white and red selections. The two DOCs, contiguous and complementary, allow the winery to tell the story of the same territory from different angles: on one side, the depth of Cirò's Gaglioppo, on the other, the agility of Melissa's labels. The result is a profile that does not chase trends but defends a precise interpretation of the Crotone hinterland, where soil and grape variety remain the constant reference for every bottling.
