In Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata, in the far northern Teramo area, Cantina Diubaldo operates within Abruzzo's main wine-growing regions. The six denominations the company works with define the entire regional range: structured reds, whites from Trebbiano, and the rosé known here as Cerasuolo. Montepulciano remains the cornerstone, ranging from the most stable and long-lived versions to leaner, more drinkable interpretations. The choice to forgo synthetic chemicals in the vineyard reflects a precise idea of balance between soil, plant, and climate, a condition for healthy and balanced grapes. In the cellar, temperature control protects aromas and allows for cold maceration, techniques that accompany a clean harvest through carefully managed maturation. The most important reds rest for no less than ten months before bottling. The result is a compact portrait of Teramo's winemaking, where each denomination corresponds to a precise character and destination.
