Cantina Goccia

In Castiglione del Lago, on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, Cantina Goccia works with the sole denomination of its territory, Colli del Trasimeno, where Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, and Merlot set the tone for the winery's reds. Established over twenty years ago, the winery embraced sustainability as a foundational choice, not an afterthought: green walls that insulate the spaces and solar panels that reduce consumption accompany low-impact viticulture. In the barrel room, oak barrels and *caratelli* (small barrels) shape the structure of each wine. The result is a continuous dialogue between contemporary technology and measured cultivation, which then translates into the glass as balance rather than ostentation. Visitors to the winery can experience this philosophy firsthand, between the vineyard and the barrel room, and taste the wines in the exact place where they take shape: a visit that makes tangible the connection between the production method and what ends up in the glass.
