Cantina Laimburg / Landesweingut Laimburg

Cantina Laimburg is located in the Lago di Caldaro area, where Schiava—the red grape that best represents Alto Adige—matures between alpine sun and cool nights. From this grape, classico and classico superiore versions are produced, each with at least 10.5% alcohol, rooted in the eighteen municipalities surrounding the lake. Beyond that perimeter, the Alto Adige DOC expands the scope to fifty-two municipalities: whites from Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, and Riesling alongside structured reds like Lagrein and Cabernet. Completing the picture is the broader scope of the IGT Mitterberg, which encompasses what falls outside the stricter confines of the two DOCs. Together, the three denominations form a vertical interpretation of South Tyrolean viticulture, from everyday wine to more defined labels. The winery welcomes visitors and enthusiasts throughout the year: those who wish to follow this journey from Lago di Caldaro up to the high-altitude whites can book a tasting and experience it bottle by bottle.
