Cantine degli Astroni

On the volcanic slopes of the Campi Flegrei, Cantine degli Astroni has preserved the work of the Varchetta family for over a century. Four estates—Vigna Astroni, Tenuta Camaldoli, Tenuta Jossa, and Vigna Imperatrice—feed three protected denominations: Vesuvio DOC and Catalanesca del Monte Somma IGT form its central identity, while Pompeiano IGT extends across ninety-two municipalities. The crater terroir imparts a recognizable volcanic minerality to grape varieties like Piedirosso and Falanghina, signatures of the Phlegraean landscape that the glass clearly expresses. It's a narrative where geology precedes oenology, and every wine bears the mark of the soil from which it comes.
