Cantine Vitevis S.C.A. - Cantina di Gambellara

The Gambellara winery was born from the cooperative model, an associative form that allows small winegrowers from the four Vicentine municipalities to pool resources without sacrificing the voice of their own land. It is a structure designed for resilience, where the collective scale protects an agriculture made up of small plots. Everything revolves around a single denomination, Recioto di Gambellara, and a single grape, Garganega. From here, two interpretations branch out: the passito, obtained from grapes left to dry until sugars and aromas are concentrated, and the spumante version, which brings that sweetness into the vivacity of bubbles. Both reach at least fourteen degrees, a measure of the substance that supports them. Focusing on a single wine, in such a defined territory, is a choice of identity before it is a market strategy: it means making Recioto not just one product among many, but the lens through which to read the entire vocation of Gambellara, one of the most distinctly characterized areas of Veneto.
