Carlone

In Grignasco, in the province of Novara, Carlone works with the Nebbiolo of Alto Piemonte, the northern part of the region where this grape variety takes on a more taut and mineral accent. The two DOCG denominations of the house are based on the indigenous Spanna, flanked by Vespolina and Uva Rara: in Gattinara, the blend seeks depth through a minimum of thirty-five months of maturation, while Ghemme follows a similar path with at least thirty-four months and the same careful selection of grape varieties. This production makes time and rigor its tools, where the long wait in the cellar yields wines of real substance and clear territorial imprint, never aiming for ease.
