Casa Vinicola Zonin

In Gambellara, within a denomination that encompasses just four municipalities in the Vicenza area, Casa Vinicola Zonin crafts Recioto di Gambellara DOCG, one of Veneto's sweet wine pinnacles. The raw material is Garganega, a local grape that undergoes appassimento, transforming into a concentrated must and bringing the wine to the rigorous 14.0% vol. parameter required by the label. From this same grape, the winery derives two opposing stylistic directions. On one hand, the passito, a meditation wine built on the concentration of sugars and aromas amplified by appassimento; on the other, the spumante version, lighter and more effervescent, which brightens the same base into a festive register. It's proof that a single grape and a single soil can generate vastly different interpretations, provided the hand in the cellar clearly chooses the path. This dual orientation showcases the versatility of the Gambellara territory, capable of supporting both density and vivacity without losing the identity of Garganega.
