Caseificio Albiero SRL

Asiago DOPGrana Padano DOP

Founded in 1938, Caseificio Albiero boasts over eighty years of cheesemaking in the Vicenza area. From its Montorso Vicentino facility, two protected designation cheeses are produced: Asiago DOP, in both fresh and aged versions, and Grana Padano DOP. The two supply chains draw from collection areas of different scales — 292 municipalities for the former, 3,431 for the latter — marking the difference between a regional Venetian DOP and a large Po Valley denomination. The company moves from the teachings of its founder, Lino Albiero, towards a technological and industrial dimension, combining artisanal skill with scaled efficiency. The result is slow-maturing cheeses designed for large-scale distribution, where product consistency is as important as its origin. Within the scope of two denominations, a locally-rooted cheese and one tied to a much broader territory thus coexist, produced under the same roof with methods that blend tradition and technology.
