Cataldo Calabretta tends his vines in Cirò Marina, where the Calabrian coast meets inland slopes suited to Gaglioppo cultivation. His roster spans both Cirò DOC—anchored by that native variety in rosso and superiore formats—and Melissa DOC across its broader terroir of fourteen municipalities. Working with grapes certified for the region's conditions, Calabretta crafts wines that meet rigorous alcohol thresholds while expressing the mineral and fruit character endemic to southern Calabria's viticultural identity.
