Coop. Agricola Triasso e Sassella

Coop. Agricola Triasso e Sassella represents two decades of commitment to Valtellina's signature Nebbiolo, unified as Chiavennasca. Based in Sondrio's steep terrace vineyards, the cooperative produces both Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG—aged twenty months and fortified to 14% alcohol—and the leaner Valtellina Superiore DOCG, which demands two years of patient maturation. Their 100% Nebbiolo vineyard sits on hand-stacked dry-stone terraces, where manual harvesting captures altitude-grown fruit on some of Italy's most demanding slopes. Visitors welcome.
