Folini

In the terraced vineyards of Chiuro, where Valtellina's Nebbiolo thrives on steep southern slopes, Folini manages nine hectares split across thirty parcels. This family-run winery vinifies at their cellar on Via Stazione, then ages wines in a historic barricaia within Chiuro's medieval center. Two DOCG appellations anchor their portfolio: Sforzato, the valley's signature dried-grape wine requiring 20 months minimum aging, and Valtellina Superiore, a 24-month-aged Nebbiolo expression. Each vintage reflects the slow seasons of mountain viticulture—wines that carry terroir and lineage in the same glass.
