I Muretti

I Muretti works within two of Valtellina's most stringent appellations. The producer concentrates on Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG—a passito and red wine designation requiring minimum 14% alcohol and two decades of aging—using Chiavennasca Nebbiolo alongside select red varieties. In parallel, the house maintains Valtellina Superiore DOCG production, where the same Chiavennasca ripens across a twelve-municipality zone under even longer maturation demands. This dual commitment reflects a specific skill: extracting depth from high-altitude vineyards and respecting the regulatory rigor that defines the region's upper tier.
