Ioppa tends vineyards in Romagnano Sesia, where Piedmont's northern hills meet the Vercelli plain. The producer works two of Italy's most demanding DOCG zones: Gattinara, where Nebbiolo assumes the regional name Spanna, and Ghemme, where the same grape partners with Vespolina and Uva Rara. Both wines require over two years' barrel aging—Gattinara's minimum of 35 months shapes austere, mineral-driven expressions.
