Lucchini Ercole operates in Ottiglio, a historic stronghold of Barbera cultivation in the Monferrato hills of Alessandria. The producer focuses on Barbera del Monferrato Superiore DOCG, a regulated designation spanning 212 municipalities across Piedmont. The wines achieve minimum 13% alcohol and undergo at least 14 months of aging, developing structure and depth. The estate draws on a diverse palette of local varieties—Barbera as the anchor, alongside Freisa, Grignolino, and Dolcetto—which may be vinified alone or in combination, allowing for expression of terroir nuance and vintage variation.
