Podere ai Valloni commands the steep hillsides of Boca in Novara, where the siliceous soils and continental Alpine climate forge two of Piedmont's most demanding red wines. The producer splits focus between Gattinara DOCG, built on Nebbiolo with supporting Vespolina and Uva Rara, and Ghemme DOCG, where the same trio composes wines of mineral intensity and age-worthiness. Both require 34–35 months of aging before release, a commitment that reflects the slow maturation these northern Nebbiolos demand to reveal their structure and elegance.
