Renato Motalli

Renato Motalli commands two of Valtellina's most demanding denominations. His Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG represents the region's most structured expression—Nebbiolo Chiavennasca dried to concentration, then aged a minimum of 20 months to develop its signature power. Simultaneously, Motalli crafts Valtellina Superiore DOCG from the same varietal across a broader twelve-municipality zone, where 24 months of aging transforms bright red fruit into silk and mineral spine. Both require mastery of Lombard terroir and meticulous timing.
